Description

The S2D Spark Plasma Hybrid Sintering System is a new type of rapid sintering technology for powder densification. It applies pulsed current and axial pressure between two electrodes, while adding induction coil heating as auxiliary heating. It features excellent temperature uniformity, fast heating rate, short sintering time, controllable microstructure, and energy-saving & environmental protection.

 

Principle

Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) equipment is a new powder metallurgy sintering process device. It loads metal and other powders into a mold made of graphite or other materials. Using upper/lower punches and electrified electrodes, it applies specific pulsed current and pressure to the sintering powder. High-performance materials are obtained through discharge activation, hot plastic deformation, and cooling.

  • Hot-press sintering forming of various metals, non-metals, and alloy powders

  • Preparation of functional ceramics, cermets, intermetallic compounds, and composite materials via hot-press sintering

  • Compared with pure SPS sintering, the added induction heating field ensures more uniform temperature distribution, reduces the temperature difference between the center and edge of the material, and enables sintering of larger-sized products.

  • Fast sintering speed, high efficiency, and high density of sintered samples.

  • DC pulse heating enables fast sintering with excellent energy efficiency.

  • High-frequency, high-power IGBT modules instantly boost current to several thousand or even tens of thousands of amperes, ensuring rapid densification of powders.

  • Proprietary patented technology guarantees stable high-current continuous output with ripple current ≤ 1%.

  • Key components use well-known imported brands, meeting industrial-grade standards for service life and output stability.
